Why have you supported Safe and Sound as an anniversary year sponsor?
Our founding President Sheila Taylor was also the person who helped raise awareness of child exploitation and ultimately the forming of Safe and Sound. We have supported the charity from its very beginnings and this seemed a perfect fit.
Are you planning any special fundraising or awareness-raising events as part of your support?
We had a charity quiz on 27th May 2022 at Belper Town Football Club which Safe and Sound competed at. We are collecting toiletries for Safe and Sound during the month of June.
Have you appointed a Safe and Sound Champion within your company: name, title and a key message from them about what they hope to achieve as your Safe and Sound champion?
We don’t have a specifically named champion as we’re only a small club of 12 members but we hope that supporting Safe and Sound on your anniversary year will bring attention to both our organisations and possibly lead to new members who also believe passionately in helping their community.
What would your message be to the young people and families that Safe and Sound supports?
Rotary in Derby will always support this most vital charity in whatever way we can. Our aims are your aims and together we can support the lives of vulnerable children in our community.

Why have you supported Safe and Sound as an anniversary year sponsor?
We work alongside Safe and Sound, supporting them with their website and social media marketing, so we have witnessed first-hand how much passion and drive their incredible team put into the work they carry out across Derby and Derbyshire daily. Whilst working with them we have gained both an insight and understanding of how vital it is they are able to carry on providing their services to children and young people who are affected by exploitation. We will continue to support the charity with their marketing and pro-bono support.
Are you planning any special fundraising or awareness raising events as part of your support?
Our Marketing Manager, Claire Morrison ran the Derby 10k in early April to fundraise for safe and sound and raised over £600. We regularly raise funds for the Charity and supported the 2022 Race Night and the Christmas Cookbook initiative. We also funded their mobile donation machine and will continue to support this as it allows the Charity to collect donations on the move.
Have you appointed a Safe and Sound Champion within your company: name, title and a key message from them about what they hope to achieve as your Safe and Sound champion?
Creationz Marketing has supported Safe & Sound for a number of years and we will continue to do so. Claire Morrison is our dedicated Safe & Sound Champion, and she is responsible for promoting the work of Safe & Sound to our client base and finding new ways we can raise much needed funds. Claire Taylor has also been out on Outreach with the Team in Long Eaton and has seen first-hand the work that the Charity does to raise awareness and support the local community.
What would your message be to the young people and families that Safe and Sound supports?
Through seeing the work that Safe & Sounds offers, we are passionate about helping raise the profile of this amazing charity. As the number of Children at risk of grooming continues to grow post-pandemic, we want children and young adults to know that there is help and support available across Derbyshire and the team is on hand to get them the support they need. Nothing is too much for the team, the earlier they work with individuals the more the support network can be utilised by the whole family.
